Sorry, I messed up the tarsnap invocation in my original email when
trying to generalize. The actual commands copy-and-pasted from my
terminal:
$ tarsnap -c -f 10.dat-3 10.dat
$ tarsnap -c --cachedir 10-cache/ -f 10.dat-4 10.dat
tarsnap: Sequence number mismatch: Run --fsck
tarsnap: Error creating new archive
