Hmmm... just add your new machine to your tarsnap account using
tarsnap-keygen(1) in the usual way.   Then turn off the backup jobs and
remove the stored data for the old machines according to whatever
schedule suits you.  You aren't charged on the number of machines you
backup, just on the volumes of traffic to the backup server and the
volumes of data stored.  Once you stop backing up the old machines and
delete all their saved backups, they won't cost you anything.

I haven't found a way of deleting all records of a machine entirely,
so if I go into the tarsnap web interface I can still look at 'recent
activity for one machine' and select my old machine which has been dead
and gone for about two years.  As I've only got a small number of
machines I've ever backed up to tarsnap this doesn't bother me.  I can
see it could be problematic if you were backing up a lot of machines and
had a lot of turnover in machines.
