No wait, false alarm.  There's nothing wrong.

Our "apisupport" build system is designed to add
-Wno-deprecated-declarations if the compiler would otherwise produce an
error.  I almost always compile with -Werror, so I was expecting that to
kick in.

But when you're compiling without -Werror, then those depreciations
warnings are merely warnings, so we don't try to artificially suppress
them.
